Senior Accountant

Malander is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant for our client based in Midrand for a contract position. In addition to overseeing financial processes and ensuring compliance with regulations, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in providing strategic financial guidance to the organisation.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards; Coordinate with auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and inspections; Conduct financial analysis to assess performance, profitability, and financial health; Prepare variance analysis and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement; Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and implement accounting controls to safeguard company assets; Prepare and file tax returns, stay updated on tax regulations, and assist in tax planning strategies to minimise tax liabilities.Requirements:BCom degree; Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite; Microsoft D365 is advantageous.
