A Marble & Granite Company is looking for a mature candidate with 15 years' experience to fulfill the duties of a Senior Accountant.

Requirements:

Relevant Accounting Degrees with 15 years' experience in accounting
Minimum 5 years' experience in SAGE Evolution
Be able to manage diverse financial departments
Possess good accounting with job costing experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and advanced Excel skills
Proficient on SARS E-Filing System, in respect of VAT and PAYE
Good understanding of tax knowledge
Good understanding of financial management systems and controls

Duties:

This role is responsible for accurately managing and maintaining the financial records of various companies.
Accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our companies.
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies, procedures, regulations, and legislation.
Ensure VAT and PAYE returns are completed, reconciled and submitted timeously.
Prepare for annual financial audit and coordinate the audit process.
Review and present monthly management reports.
Evaluate and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues.
Timeous and accurate costing of contracts both local and cross border.
Reconciliation of all bank accounts, both local and foreign to reflect the financial position of the business.
Reconciliation of related party transactions.
Recharges - ensuring costs and monies are recovered from other business units for expenses paid on their behalf.
Prepare budgets and maintain control over revenue, expenses and cash flow.
Review of balance sheet reconciliations. Review and approve journal entries.
