We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Sea Logistics Sales Representative with sea logistics sales experience and strong motivation to hunt for new business and take on an evolving role in Johannesburg. Your Role In this role, you will acquire, win and retain new customers. As a Sea Logistics Sales Representative of the company, you will maintain close collaboration with key stakeholders and maximize business opportunities to achieve agreed goals. You will spend most of the time in customer-facing activities, hunting for new business, and working hand in hand with the Customer Care Personnel (customer care tasks) on the same customers. You will take pricing decision in alignment with the Customer Care Manager, and following the Trade Management/Pricing recommendations. You will be account owner of sales accounts (personally own an account portfolio). Your Responsibilities Generate new business opportunities in Sea Logistics with a clear focus on SMEs, as well as maintain and develop the existing customersTake pricing decisions in alignment with the Customers Care ManagersPrepare quotations using our online tools and submit our proposal to the customersDevelop expert market knowledge and demonstrate superior Sea Logistics productsMonitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing and productsReport customer complaints to the Customer Care TeamWork and build relationships internally with our other departments : Customer care, Route development, Pricing teams… Your Skills and Experiences Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a similar disciplineMinimum 2 years' experience in the freight forwarding industry, with a focus on sea logistics salesExcellent presentation, communication and negotiation skillsFluency in English language is mandatoryStrong commercial skillsStrong customer focus and sensitivity towards stakeholder relationship Good Reasons to Join We offer an employee friendly environment for you to develop and grow to become a skilled transportation logistics professional in a challenging and fast developing company with a competitive salary and opportunities for further development within the Kuehne+Nagel Group.
