Functieomschrijving You will be responsible for the implementation of the security elements of SD-WAN solutions being delivered to our clients.
This will include the validation of the requested rules and policies to provide the necessary protection to the client's network.
Responsibilities will also include assisting in support matters when required.
It is expected that regular reviews are conducted to see if the practices are still appropriate and determine enhancements that should be introduced.
Planning software upgrades is a critical aspect of the role as well.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: · Assist with the development of tools for continuous delivery and deployment automation · Create templates that can be used to push to all sites · Implementation of different security solutions (firewalls, SDWAN, proxies, antivirus gateways, content filtering, intrusion detection and prevention, unified threat management · Configurie security zones & vrf's to control the traffic on SDWAN · Configure entire management, monitoring and reporting using Fortinet tech tools (Fortianalyzer) and current monitoring tools · Effectively create and utilize lab setups to duplicate and solve problems, validate planned changes to software and hardware design.
· Assist with implementation of upgrades and enhancements to WAN services, including communications, preparation of documentation and training · Create, review and/or vet technical functional specifications and low-level network solutions design documentation, ensuring those are complete, correct and kept current · Execute test plans and logs results.
Gather supporting documentation such as installation photos and speed tests · Work with Field Technicians in all regions, as well as related Engineering departments and centres, to maintain communications regarding work orders/projects.
Instruct the field engineers and Assurance Team on installation steps · Interface with customers in regard to acceptance testing of SDN Overlay and Wireless Backup services.
Execute test plans and log results.
· Execute Change of Service requests through the SDN Service platform.
Validate functionality after changes made to ensure customer satisfaction · Position occasionally requires providing engineering-level support for Operations, including maintenance windows/off-hour support · Provide rotational after hours escalation services · Interfaces with customers to understand Change of Service requests · Collaborate with cross-organizational teams to promote efficient business processes · Coordinate and implement patches and upgrades in the production environment to resolve systemic or client specific problems Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: · Basic understanding and appreciation of technical design and business principles · Demonstrate fundamental project management and administration ability · Display customer engagement skills · Demonstrate relevant domain specialist knowledge · Good verbal communication skills · Client focused and display a proactive approach to solving problems · Ability to work under pressure Requirements Academic Qualifications and Certifications: · A qualification (certificate/degree/diploma) in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field · Pertinent Technology specific certifications – CompTIA Security+ · Fortigate – Fortinet NSE 1, Fortinet NSE 4 Required Experience: · Work experience in a technical implementation engineering or similar role – 4-5 years working with the following technologies: Cisco, Fortinet, PaloAlto · Intermediate understanding of SD-WAN Fortinet experience – 3 years
