Company Description As a Scheduler you need to allocate resources for all approved work to be completed at the right time and ensure the efficient utilisation of resources. Our activities include all aspects – exploration; mining; processing and blending; shipping; marketing and selling. In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Centurion, Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape. Job Description As an Engineering and Maintenance Scheduler your responsibilities will include: Consistently apply Safety and health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for the safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities. Act as a role model and support a workplace culture where safety and health for the site are paramount. Support an environment for team members to challenge and act on unsafe behaviours without repercussions. Specified required date for the work order. Specified the most likely duration of the work order. Allocated scheduled start date. Define a Task start time that fits the completion window (i.e. between the earliest time resources can be available and the latest date that the work can be started and meet the required completion date). Confirm and allocate Equipment/Workplace access time and labour and equipment availability. Review the Work Order Task Status Report daily. Schedule newly approved work to assist in setting the schedule and to track upcoming work. Liaison with the relevant personnel responsible for executing the scheduled activities. Obtain decisions from relevant parties regarding the action to manage critical issues. Agenda for critical issues are drafted, and discussions are scheduled. Critical issues identified for the draft schedule are compiled. Compile weekly schedule review meeting minutes in time according to requirements. Ensure that all relevant parties agree and sign the final schedule. Issue Execution schedule with the Work orders. Chair the relevant Work Management - Management Routine (MR) meetings as prescribed by Anglo-American Operating Model. Take notes and update minutes during Management routing meeting as prescribed by the Anglo- American Operating Model. This role is in the Engineering department on a band 7.8 level and reports to Planning Advisor Qualifications Grade 12/N3 (Technical Matric) N4 Engineering Studies Trade test Certificate in Engineering discipline SA Valid Drivers Licence Additional information Experience 3-5 Years in relevant field Computer skills (Microsoft excel, word, powerpoint) SAP PM Prometheus Technical Knowledge Additional Information What we offer When you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package.
