Job Purpose The Digital Marketing Lead is responsible for developing and executing Glacier by Sanlam digital marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, user engagement, and business growth, implementing all digital marketing initiatives including SEO, SEM, content creation, social media, email marketing, and paid media campaigns. The position requires a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in optimizing digital channels, analyzing performance metrics, and leveraging data insights to refine campaigns. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and staying ahead of digital trends, the Digital Marketing Lead ensures cohesive, impactful, and results-driven digital marketing efforts that align with Glacier's overall business objectives.
Key Outcomes The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the Digital Marketing Lead:
Strategic ManagementDevelop and implement a Digital Marketing strategy aligned to the Business and Marketing StrategiesOwnership and day-to-day management of the company website and digital marketing platforms, ensuring content is accurate, up-to-date, and functionality is working as expectedConceptualizing and implementing content marketing strategies to drive online traffic across the various stages of the marketing funnel, while tracking conversion rates across various campaignsUtilizing a range of techniques, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC), and Social Media Marketing (SMM)Proficient in working with digital and social media SaaS tools including but not limited to HubSpot, Brandwatch, HotJar, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Google Marketing PlatformImproving the usability, design, content, and conversion of websites and other digital user journeysEvaluating customer research, market conditions, and competitor data to inform digital marketing strategy and activitiesAlign marketing campaign activities with digital marketing activitiesDetailed reporting and management information for the businessEnsure effective brand omni-channel presence and customer experienceWork closely with head of brand on the customer relationship management strategyIntroduce new digital engagement channels leveraging Bot technology and AIBudget and Financial ManagementResponsibility for planning and budgetary control of all digital marketing by channelContributes to the setting of budgets and manages costs and assets effectivelyOptimizes marketing spend across all digital channelsStakeholder ManagementReview new technologies working with internal and external stakeholders, keeping Glacier at the forefront of developments in digital marketingEngage and manage agency deliverablesMeet commitments and build trust and develop positive working relationships internally and externallyImplement and maintain Service Level Agreements with internal and external stakeholdersQualifications and ExperienceRelevant post-graduate qualification in Digital Marketing or MarketingMinimum of 3 years' experience in the Digital Marketing field (managing websites, PPC, SEO, social media UI & UX, and the implementation of new Technology)Minimum of 4 years' experience in the Marketing FieldB2B experience is an advantageKnowledge And SkillsStrong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practice, with demonstrated success in rolling out digital marketing campaignsExperience with UX and UI on digital applicationsA creative eye to review and sign off digital artworkExceptional project management skillsOrganized and self-motivatedStrategic, analytical, and data-orientedWorking with people and teamsPersuading and InfluencingCreative and innovative thinkingDevelopment orientationEffective communicationInterpersonal effectivenessPlanning and organizingAttributesPositive, enthusiastic attitudeTeamworkAbility to thrive under pressureHonesty, integrity, and respectInfluencing and gaining commitmentAbility to work independentlyWhat will make you successful in this role?Qualification and ExperienceDegree or Diploma with 3 to 4 years related experience
