Sales Representative - VCIC DivisionThe company wishes to employ a Sales Representative in the VCIC Division in Cape Town. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the variable consumables interventional cardiology management product portfolios, focusing specifically on Sales in Private and Government sectors.This is an Employment Equity position.This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager.RequirementsMinimum 5 years medical experience in private and government sectors in the Western Cape.Theatre and Cath-Lab experience is a requirement.Current relationships with private and government hospitals are a requirement.Valid Driver's license.Own reliable vehicle.South African Citizen.Key ResponsibilitiesServes customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.Ability to meet sales targets.Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Ideal Candidate AttributesMedical background.Experience and knowledge of the sales territory and relevant hospitals would be an added advantage.Ability to show growth in a developing territory.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Computer Literacy.Relevant work experience, including the ability to build relationships with customers.Product knowledge.Sales skills.Meeting sales goals and targets.Territory management.Self-Confidence.Client relationships.Motivation for sales.Benefits include a basic salary, reimbursive cell phone allowance, and 100% medical aid and provident fund employer contribution after the probation period.
