JOB TITLE: Sales Operations Coordinator AREA: Durban, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa INDUSTRY: ICT Salary / CTC: R 30 000 – R 32 000 (depending on current earnings, experience and qualifications) Report to: Sales Manager Job Summary: The sales coordinator will support the sales team and ensure smooth and efficient operations within the sales department.
This role will involve a variety of administrative and coordination tasks to help the sales team achieve their targets and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
They will play a crucial role in streamlining sales operations and supporting the sales team in achieving their goals
Key Responsibilities: Assist the sales team with day-to-day administrative tasks including scheduling meetings, organizing travel arrangements, and managing correspondence.Prepare and distribute sales-related reports and documents as required.Oversee the order lifecycle from receipt to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of customer orders.Coordinate with logistics and production teams to address any issues related to order fulfillment.Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.Maintain professional relationships with clients and provide excellent service throughout the sales process.Track sales performance metrics, generate reports, and analyze data to provide insights into sales trends and areas for improvement.Assist in preparing sales presentations and proposals.Collaborate with marketing, finance, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on sales strategies, promotions, and operational processes.Facilitate communication between the sales team and other departments to ensure timely and accurate execution of sales initiatives.Maintain and update customer and sales data in CRM systems or other databases.Ensure data accuracy and integrity, and generate reports as needed.Prepare and process sales contracts, quotations, and other relevant documentation.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding sales documentation.Provide support to the sales team in achieving their goals by assisting with lead management, customer follow-ups, and other sales-related activities.Organize and coordinate sales events, trade shows, and promotional activities.Assist the sales manager in the implementation of the organization's sales initiatives and strategies.Analyzing sales data to optimize sales efforts and better identify potential opportunities to expand product depth and breadth.Monitor the team's progress, identify shortcomings and propose improvements.EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE: A minimum of three (3) years' experience in salesProven track record of sales success within an ICT distribution businessKnowledge of the IT market, reseller channels, marketing and promotional strategies is essentialUnderstanding of IT industry and OEM channelSKILLS AND EDUCATION: Matric with mathematics is essential and a Sales and/or Marketing qualification is required, college diploma or university degree is preferredMaintain high level of customer serviceAbility to effectively prioritize workloads and manage timeMature outgoing personality, energetic go getter with a will to succeedStrategic thinker with strong planning and execution skillsExcellent customer engagement and relationship building skillsStrong negotiation skillsAbove average computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointService quality orientatedCustomer focusedCopes effortlessly within a high stress and pressurized environmentExcellent communication, writing and people skillsWilling to go the extra mile and succeedTechnology drivenAbility to work with numbersAbility to provide positive, helpful & productive feedbackAble to establish effective personal contact / channel for communication between partiesPERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND QUALITIES: Mature and outgoing individualHigh attention to detailSelf-driven and willing to go the extra mileA high level of perseverancePatience, tolerant and diplomaticAbility to work as part of a teamWell-groomed and highly presentableWell organized individualAssertive and positive individualHigh level of energyMotivated and drivenSelf-starter and self-confidenceProblem solverPositive attitudeProactive individualCOMPLIANCE COMPETENCIES Perform all duties with integrity, to the highest ethical standards, and in compliance with all relevant legal, contractual and other requirements as mandated by the Company Code of Conduct.Keep up to date with changes in applicable compliance obligations, controls and measures relevant to the role.EXTRAS Travel Required: Yes
