REQUIREMENTS A recognised Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Marketing/ Commerce/ Business Management Minimum of 5 years motor industry experience 3-5 years at a supervisory level within the sales environment ESSENTIAL SKILLS Ability to think strategically, listen and communicate effectively at all levels Ability and confidence to negotiate with dealer management Ability to drive, influence and persuade to achieve sales results Analytical and computer skills and understanding of financial principles and business management Product and retail selling knowledge Innovative, resourceful, resilient, and self-disciplined with a commitment to continuous learning and sharing best practices Ability to work in and add value in a cross-functional environment ADDED ADVANTAGE A Post-Graduate qualification RESPONSIBILITIES Build and maintain positive relationships with franchise Directors, dealer principals, and portfolio managers through effective communication and query resolution Analyze the dealer retail area of responsibility/ retail potential to define the sales objective per dealer per region Guide dealer marketing, stock profiles, sales mix, accessories, VAPs, and HR planning to boost dealer sales performance Negotiate and agree on sales and customer service targets with dealer management Review quarterly business plans by dealers to ensure that all objectives are addressed in line with planning and execution criteria Analyze stock and sales reports, including aged stock, to identify gaps and opportunities and propose action plans for retail and wholesale Analyze customer service reports to ensure adherence to and improve the dealer sales process Review monthly Sewell's reports by dealer and region to identify improvement opportunities across used vehicles, new vehicles, aftersales, parts, and business management Participate in the interview and selection process of Sales Executives and Sales Managers and provide final approval on placement Monitor dealer performance against the company's KPIs, identify non-performance areas, and recommend dealers for review Provide strategic support to dealers to improve performance and sustainability and conduct audits to ensure compliance with delivery requirements and target achievement Advise dealer management on training needs as identified in the Training Academy assessment reports, interviews and monitor
