Earthmoving, construction and industrial equipment sales experience is essential. This position is based in Johannesburg, East Rand.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMatric and tertiary qualificationExtensive product knowledge of earthmoving, construction and industrial equipment is essential: rental and new equipment.Clear understanding of the yellow metal market in South AfricaProven track record in selling excavators, wheel loaders and dozers into the South African marketMinimum 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service and sales.Extensive knowledge of the industry and customer requirements and expectationsThe Sales Manager is a key person in the relationship between the company and our new and prospective clients in order to grow divisional sales and build customer brand loyaltyFacilitates the sale and rental of equipment in order to meet targetsNetworks with existing and potential customers and business partners to drive growth in the divisionSources new business leadsTargeting & Grading / qualifying of customersSubmission of weekly call reportsBuild effective business relationships with industry professionalsGood network and customer base in Gauteng regionStrategic thinker and ability to analyse CONMESA dataProficient in Microsoft packages, Excel, Word etc.Keeping current with competitor products, service offerings and activitiesReporting and updating the market intelligence systemReporting of competitor behaviour and offeringsMeet Sales targets in own territoryPlanning quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily on a continuous basisGrow market share by implementing own business initiatives in areaShare best practices with colleagues to improve efficiency in the fieldMeeting sales targets within territoryCommercial and business awarenessDemonstrated ability to succeed in a price sensitive marketDemonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed sales targetsAbility to multitask, think strategically and analytically and prioritize effectivelyTarget and Achievement drivenBuild effective business relationships with partners and customersIdentifying and establishing new businessPackage & RemunerationMonthly plus Basic + car allowance + petrol card + commission + medical aid + pension
