About the job We are looking for a Sales Manager to be responsible for contributing to the achievement of SAS's strategic corporate and business unit objectives through the implementation of sales and marketing strategy within a defined region or industry. As a Sales Manager, you will: Be responsible for achievement of total software revenue target and management business objectives. Plan and implement growth plans for software, consulting services, and education services. Act as an individual contributor to some key customers in the commercial sector. Coach and mentor junior members of the sales team. Represent the Country manager upon request during their absence for any Country level activities internally or externally. Direct management of sales and sales support activities for staff members to implement growth plans and sales activities. Develop and implement marketing, sales, and business development plans to exceed target levels. Generate new business through strategic-based selling and managing relationships with key customers. Assign appropriate sales goals and assignments to sales staff; determine optimal utilization of staff and resources to achieve sales goals. Formulate a business plan to support the business development process. Required Qualifications Demonstrated understanding of strategic sales techniques and principles specifically in the hardware and software industry. Ability to work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a quantitative field. Preferably ten years of experience in software sales.
