Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the heavy cargo logistics industry.Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development and ExecutionDevelop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders.Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.Business Development:Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the heavy cargo logistics sector.Prepare and present compelling proposals and negotiations to secure new contracts and business dealsLead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.Conduct regular training sessions and performance reviews to ensure continuous development of team members.Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.Analyze sales data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.Ensure all sales activities comply with local regulations and company policies.Promote a culture of best practices and continuous improvement within the sales team.
