Sales Executive - Public SectorMy client, in the IT industry, has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Sales Executive in the Public Sector space (Hybrid position).
What the role is accountable for: Manage client accounts and represent companies in selling a range of products and services to industrial, business, professional and other organisations.
A typical day may include: Present product offerings to prospective clientsEngage the presales and services teams and other relevant stakeholders for account planning, technical presentations demonstrations, and POC'sAttend and participate in pipeline and forecast meetingsOwn and manage the response to tendersCompile proposals and quotes to customersNegotiate prices and credit terms and complete contracts and records ordersKeep abreast of product offerings and industry trends via regular trainingArrange delivery of products, installation of equipment and the provision of servicesReport to sales management on sales made and the marketability of products and servicesFollow up with clients to ensure satisfaction with products and services purchased, arrange modifications and resolve any problems arisingPrepare sales reports and maintain and submit records of business expenses incurredAcquire and update knowledge of employer's and competitors' goods and services, and market conditionsIdentify valuable emerging markets and new business opportunitiesServe as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, etc.Maintain relationships of trust and respect with key internal and external stakeholdersQualifications: Essential Qualifications:
• Relevant degree in Sales, Business Management or a related career field
Experience:
• Function related experience: 5-7 years
• Project experience: 3-5 years

• Ability to manage key accounts and run a portfolio of clients, including large and challenging accounts
