SALES EXECUTIVE: INDEPENDENT RETAIL INTRODUCTION The Sales Executive will form part of the Company Executive Management Team (EXCO) and participate in the Company divisional board, and will report to the CEO of Company. Only candidates with clear and proven capability to fulfill the Sales Executive role will be considered in this recruitment process. SALES EXECUTIVE ROLE The Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and executing Companys Independent Retail sales and demand creation strategy to drive revenue growth and market penetration of Companys product portfolio in the Independent Retail, Hospitality and strategic export markets. This role demands a strategic thinker who can determine and execute strategy based on channel to market dynamics and outlook. In addition, the Sales Executive must have the capability to build and inspire the sales team to effectively promote Companys unique value proposition to customers in line with sales targets as well as enhancing customer relationships across diverse geographic retail markets. The Sales Executive must develop deep knowledge of local and international Bedding markets, as this will play a critical role in the formulation of the Companys Sales strategy and lead its implementation in the Independent Retail and Hospitality market. The following key deliverables are the responsibility of the Sales Executive role: Sales strategy Development : Formulate and implement a comprehensive Sales strategy aligned with Companys overall strategy. Identify target markets, analyse industry trends, and define action plans to ensure that Company extracts value out of its position as a local supplier through enhancing its service offering in terms of delivery, technical expertise, and overall ease of doing business. Sales Operations : Oversee all aspects of the sales operations for the Independent Retail market, including sales forecasting, pipeline management and performance monitoring to enable a transition towards a technically more sophisticated product range. Develop and implement metrics to track progress and deliver or exceed sales targets in terms of volume and margins. Strategic Partnerships : Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, technology partners and local and international industry stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage partnerships that enhance Companys product offering and drive mutually beneficial opportunities with customers. Market Analysis and Insight : Stay updated with local and global industry trends and market conditions. Utilize market intelligence to identify untapped opportunities, anticipate challenges, and adapt our sales strategy accordingly in support of Companys strategic objectives. Customer Engagement : Engage with key customers, participate in high-level negotiations, and address customer feedback to build lasting, strategic partnerships. Team Leadership : Ensure that we have an optimal sales team in terms of capacity and capability to deliver against sales targets. Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture that empowers individuals to meet and exceed sales targets, while fostering a customer-centric approach. COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Proven track record and capability to develop and implement long-term strategic plans based on local and global dynamics and outlook in relation to markets and products The ability to build, lead and motivate world class and high performing sales teams. Must have the commercial acumen to explore new market opportunities, developing strategic alliances, and prioritizing customer engagement. Possess the capability to analyse market trends, highlighting new opportunities, and build creative strategies to foster the development of the market and drive growth in line with sales targets. The ability to identify and manage risks that could impact the company's performance, including financial, operational, and reputational risks. The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a range of stakeholders, including industry stakeholders, customers, service providers, and retailers. SEARCH SCOPE The preferred candidate: Is an employment equity individual Has a post-graduate commercial qualification, an MBA or similar managerial qualification. 15 years executive leadership experience in large scale industrial environments. Has successful sales track record. Proven strategic and leadership success.
