IntroductionStrategic business development of sales opportunities within South Africa in the following industries: Cement, sugar, oil and gas, power, coal, ports & harbours, steel and metals, general industry and mining and minerals (whichever is applicable in the designated area and account list).Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for achieving budget as well as defined KPI targets. Manage and grow existing business through regular customer visits and networking, in line with our strategic road map and growth plans for South Africa. Ensure that the Sales/Bid Pipeline is of a value and quality that provides the Group with the confidence that the areas of responsibility will achieve its Order Intake targets. Active pipeline management as per set rules. Keeping CRM accounts detail and information current and up to date, ensuring dormant accounts are closed and duplicate accounts are merged. Provide timely feedback regarding reporting back to management. Undertake market research into potential new customers to grow order bookings. Maximise additional business opportunities with our existing customer base and maintain existing customer levels. Plan and execute successful sales visits, leading to the selection/specification of products by prospective customers/markets. Follow up on incoming enquiries to the business and proposals submitted, converting them into profitable orders that meet business development strategy. Achieve the highest possible margin and profitability where possible. Assist with cash collection as necessary. Leverage the product range to create profitable business. Act as the customer's representative within the company. Provide up-to-date feedback to customers when requested and regarding delivery date changes in a timely manner. Resolve any customer-related issues by working with the internal Management Team and ensure continuous improvement in customer management. Resolve terms and conditions queries with the proposals or legal team. Discipline in the utilisation of CRM for both reporting and forecasting purposes, to help drive performance. Customer visits, planning, and comments on all open opportunities to be kept current and up to date. Be involved in complex sales negotiations within the area of responsibility. Provide technical support to customers in conjunction with Engineering & Field Service Team. Work as a team with peers within the organisation in a healthy and constructive way. Any other reasonable instruction given to you by your manager.Desired Experience & QualificationMatric with a B Eng or B Tech plus 5 years experience in sales.Package & RemunerationR880K CTC plus Fleet Card, Cell, and Laptop.
