Sales Consultant

Requirements

Matric Certificate
3-5 years' experience within the hardware, retail or timber industry
Must be customer service driven
Computer literate
Experience with warehouse management systems (Kerridge advantageous)
Good mathematics

Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers in selecting hardware products (building materials or timber products)
Provide expert advice on the features, benefits, and applications of various products.
Understand customer needs and recommend suitable hardware products.
Handle inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide after-sales support.
Process sales transactions using a point-of-sale (Kerridge System)
Prepare sales quotes, estimates, and invoices.
Achieve sales targets by promoting hardware products and upselling.
Assist in maintaining stock levels and tracking inventory through computer systems.
Stay updated on the latest hardware products, trends, and technologies.
Demonstrate the usage or installation of products to customers.
Utilize inventory management software to track and maintain stock levels.
Assist in organizing store displays, shelving, and stocking.
Handle inventory restocking, returns, and exchanges.
Input and maintain customer information and sales records in the system.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports using computer tools.
Analyse customer purchase data to provide tailored recommendations.
Build and maintain relationships with repeat customers and contractors.
Work closely with store management and other sales consultants to ensure smooth store operations.
