Sales/Branch Manager - Packaging

Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Sales/Branch Manager to join our client's dynamic team in the packaging industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales operations and branch activities to drive revenue growth and ensure operational efficiency.
As the Sales/Branch Manager, you will lead and motivate a team of sales professionals, implement effective sales strategies, and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
You will play a crucial role in achieving sales targets while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities: Manage a small team at the branch, including Stores and Distribution functions.
Coordinate stock levels and deliveries from Pinetown to the warehouse.
Ensure effective stock management on-site to minimize obsolescence.
Maintain compliance with Health & Safety (H&S), ISO standards, and Food Safety regulations.
Engage with customers and manage key accounts.
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
Address customer requirements and complaints promptly.
Develop and manage sales strategies to exceed sales budgets.
Monitor sales performance, competitors, and market opportunities.
Present professional price proposals to customers.
Prepare weekly sales reports and collaborate on sales budgets with executives.
Identify new business opportunities within the industry.
Interface with production, planning, and design teams for alignment and efficiency.
Oversee property maintenance and security measures for the branch.
Requirements Understanding of the Rigid Plastic Packaging market is advantageous.
Knowledge of packaging is essential.
Proficient in computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint; SAP is a benefit).
Ability to work proactively and think laterally and analytically.
Strong time management and organizational skills; self-discipline is key.
Experience in budgeting.
Matric as a minimum; a Sales and Marketing qualification is advantageous.
4 to 6 years of external sales experience required.
Proven ability to close deals efficiently and effectively.
Comfortable dealing with all levels of employees, including senior management.
Valid driver's license (Code 08) is a prerequisite.
Experience managing a team; experience in stock or logistics is advantageous.
