Safety Officer - Mining

Description:
Hire Resolve's client, a reputable mining company operating in the Northern Cape, is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join their mining team. As a Safety Officer in the mining industry, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with mining industry regulations
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
Provide safety training and education to employees
Investigate accidents and incidents, and develop strategies to prevent their recurrence
Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
Maintain accurate safety records and documentation

Requirements:
Grade 12
National Diploma in Safety Management
Any relevant Trade Test Certificate
OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certificate
SAMTRAC/COMSOC 1&2
5 years' experience as a Safety Officer within the mining industry.
