Safety Officer

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a full SACPMCP certificate and possess a strong background in health and safety management. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Requirements:
SACPMCP Certificate:
• Important: Must hold a full SACPMCP certificate (candidate certificates will not be accepted).
Education:
• A diploma or degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Safety Officer in an industrial or construction environment.
Regulatory Knowledge:
• Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Communication Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
Problem-Solving:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Supervisory Skills:
• Experience in supervising and training staff on safety procedures and policies.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in using safety management software and reporting systems.
Certification and Training:
• Additional relevant certifications such as First Aid, Fire Fighting, or other safety training are beneficial.
Fitness and Mobility:
• Physically capable of meeting the demands of the position, including the ability to move and inspect work sites or construction areas.
Other Requirements:
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
