The Unit Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that quality nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multi disciplinary team.
In accordance, the Unit Manager will be accountable and responsible for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, coaching, training and development in his / her unit.Key Work Output and Accountabilities Ensure that your unit is providing safe, cost-effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of hospital and evidence-based practiceEvaluate the patients journey via patient experience and stakeholder contributionEvaluate and monitor nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomesCommunicate effectively with patients regarding their carePromote health and wellbeing of patients and employeesEnsure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered toImplement group quality initiativesLiaise with public liability regarding all incidents of potential risk to the businessInherent Requirements: A relevant nursing qualification ( B Cur Degree/ or relevant management qualification)Post basic ICU qualification compulsoryMinimum 3-5 years' experience as a Unit Manager/Shift leaderExperience working in the ICU/CCU unit essentialCompliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislationsComputer LiteracyKnowledge on Kronos will be beneficialFlexible in working hours/Shifts
