Safety Officer

Overview
A great mining company in Burgersfort, Limpopo is seeking the expertise of a Safety Officer to join their team of professionals.

Responsibilities

Development, implementation, and management of safety and risk control programs.
Ensuring legal compliance and provision of a safety advisory and reporting service to the operational unit or area.
Selects preventative actions for incidents where appropriate.
Selects safety expertise when problems occur.
Stops the operation or workplace if the working conditions are unsafe.
Determines appropriate investigations.
Disciplines employees to agreed parameters and procedures.
Stop work if unsafe.

Requirements

Grade 12.
Diploma in Safety Management.
Blasting Certificate for Underground Scheduled Mines.
5 – 7 Years experience in an underground board & pillar mining environment.
