Role purpose:
Manages the returnable assets pool (Crates, Bottles, Kegs and CHEP Pallets) in terms of availability, quality, and quantity, in line with the agreed service levels and standards and procedures applicable for the area of RPM, to fulfil Customer / Production demand against minimum cost. Ensure both internal and external customer are always delighted.
Safety
Ensure all safety rules are adhered to in the management of RPM Onsite (LSP) (if required overflow sites as well (LSP).
Logistics Service Provider Management
The ability to manage and monitor the execution of the contracts with LSPs to guarantee the required level of safety, service, savings, and sustainability in line with defined RPM strategy.
Budget preparation
Prepare budget proposal for RPM expenditure (CAPEX and OPEX)
Present budget for approval for each financial period
Monitor actual performance against budget and ensure budget discipline in the RPM department.
Drive cost-saving initiatives
Facility maintenance
Strategic RPM Objective
Zero Line Stoppages due to glass availability
Glass Quality supplied to line.
Monitor LSP Supplier performance to ensure glass availability.
Tracks site loss, Circulation time and Missing, Broken and Foreign (MBF) of RPM SKUs
RPM Operational Planning and Execution
Plans and controls the availability of returnable materials for production requirements.
Monitors the execution and progress of the return flow.
Attend weekly Planning meeting to ensure availability of RPM for production plans.
TPM and Continuous Improvement
Measure Priority KPI's
Performance improvements using appropriate TPM tools.
Perform deployments on KPI's not meeting targets.
Zero Loss Improvements

LSP's Engagement
Qualifications and experience
NQF 6 Qualification in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or relevant related qualification
3-5 years relevant experience
Material Requirements Planning, Logistics, or Pallet Management
Experienced in managing Logistic Service Provides / CHEP would be an advantage.
Computer literacy with sound working knowledge of SAP experience with proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
