Road Freight Operations ManagerJohannesburg, South AfricaIn line with the growth and internationalization strategy, Rangel intends to recruit for Road Freight Operations Manager (m/f) in South Africa.This position has as main responsibilities to manage Road Freight Product as a Freight Forwarding company that is growing and is specialized in Cross Border, local transports and logistics operations as well as planning and coordinating projects, activities and operations to fulfill customers expectations.Key Accountabilities:Organize and oversee operations;Guide technical teams and provide training;Planning and controlling road freight and cross border operations;Ensure compliance within transports and logistics sector;Provide information for sales teams;Ensure costs and other operational data is accurate for analyses and decision making;Negotiate with service providers;Supervise on customs releases and other relevant information and provide feedback;Supervise process execution and documentation;Ensure that customer service levels are met; supervise and update client on tracking reports; ensure regular liaison with clients; resolve customer queries and complaints;Develop and share regular reports to the management team.Requirements and Desired Profile:Grade 12 and relevant tertiary education/transport qualification;Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role in a Freight Forwarding company;Advanced knowledge in freight forwarding operations;Freight experience operationally and sales and target driven;Fluency in English (verbal and written);Advanced computer literacy; advanced Excel skills;Service oriented;Seniority LevelMid-Senior levelEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionBusiness Development, Supply Chain, and DistributionIndustriesTruck Transportation, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage, and Warehousing and Storage
