Risk / Sheq Specialist - Ngodwana Energy

We Are Hiring! Join us as a Risk/SHEQ Specialist to develop and maintain the Ngodwana Energy SHEQ systems. Your role will focus on safeguarding employee well-being, minimizing environmental impact, and ensuring comprehensive compliance across Environmental, Safety, Health, and Quality (SHEQ) aspects. As a Risk/SHEQ Specialist, your responsibilities will include: Monitoring and advising O&M and other on-site contractors daily to ensure procedural compliance. Conducting compliance audits and inspections, with timely resolution of findings. Implementing and managing risk mitigation practices, and reporting on risk monitoring and incidents. Overseeing emergency plans, equipment, and risk management during operations. Handling environmental legal and permit requirements, and addressing related complaints. Representing the company at external forums and communicating with stakeholders on risk issues. Managing NAEIS and GHG reporting, and overseeing license applications and renewals. Leading sustainability, safety, and community engagement projects, while ensuring up-to-date risk training. What are we looking for? Postgraduate or Honours degree in Environmental or Risk Management. 5+ years of experience in environmental/risk management and plant compliance. In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation and licensing. 2+ years of people management experience. Proficient in MS Office Suite.
