Risk Officer (It & Operations)

Reporting to the Head of Risk, the Risk Officer will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and managing potential threats to the organizations goals. This role is designed for an analytical professional with a proactive mindset, dedicated to enhancing operational risk management and resilience.Key Responsibilities:Develop and continually improve risk management policies and procedures.Implement risk methodologies and streamline risk processes for efficiency.Manage the risk register and appetite dashboards, delivering clear, real-time insights.Collaborate on the Combined Assurance Reports and oversee internal controls.Identify and address operational risk events promptly.Drive the digitization of risk tools to elevate operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with POPIA & PAIA frameworks through regular reviews and updates.Promote a strong culture of risk awareness throughout the organization.Engage effectively with key stakeholders, including EXCO, to advance the risk agenda.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Risk Management, Finance, or a related discipline.Experience:At least 5 years of relevant experience in risk or operational roles.Why This Role?This position offers the chance to join an innovative team within a dynamic organization that values resilience, foresight, and continuous improvement.
