Are you someone who can: Embed the FirstRand Operational Risk Framework, its related policies and tools within the business unit to ensure that key risks are adequately identified, measured, and mitigated with the appropriate controls implemented.Conduct testing and analysis of key controls within the business unit and provide an independent view of the adequacy and effectiveness of these controls to the business.Prepare and present on various risk initiatives and reports at various management and risk committees.Provide risk advice and solutions on new initiatives, projects, emerging risks, and daily operational challenges experienced by the business unit.Provide guidance and oversight to business continuity practices of all our bank-owned campuses.Perform risk assessments on the business unit's critical suppliers and vendors.Log and maintain all loss events on Open Pages and reconcile these events to the financial statements for completeness and accuracy.Facilitate insurance claims on behalf of the business unit with FirstRand Risk Insurance for all building and asset-related losses where the applicable excess amount has been exceeded.Establish a good relationship with combined assurance partners like Internal & External Audit to the benefit of the business unit.You will be an ideal candidate if you: Have a BCom Finance/Risk Management/Internal Audit or related degree.3 – 5 years of risk management experience would be ideal.Can embrace the unique challenges associated with facilities (Campus, Branch, ATM and Cash Centre sites and residential bank-owned properties) and hospitality (Catering) management.Can establish and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships within and outside of the business unit.You will have access to: Opportunities to network and collaborate.A challenging working environment that is different from that of the banking industry.Opportunities to innovate in solving business unit challenges.We can be a match if you are: Curious & courageous - you're driven by always wanting to know more and learn more and you're brave enough to.Obsessed with mastery - you know what it takes to become good at what you do and are constantly pushing yourself to do it.Are you interested to take the step?
