Retirement Funds Fund Accountant

Retirement funds fund accounting team seeks a new team member. This role is responsible for the fund accounting of their umbrella provident and pension funds.Responsibilities:Preparation of fund accounts aligned with policiesBanking payments, extracting bank statements ensuring bank recons are accurate and timeousCashflow management and forecasting of cash requirementsPreparation of monthly recons, review of month and annual working papersLiaison with fund managers, custodians and brokers as requiredAccurate loading of daily and cashflow unit pricesSubmission of monthly tax requirements and handle tax queriesPreparation of audit files and working papersPreparation of annual financial statementsFSCA submissionsEnsure all compliance reporting submittedPreparation of monthly management accounts, cashflow statementsCompliance and tax reporting as requiredRequirements:Minimum of a completed degree in accounting, finance or commerceMinimum of 2-3 years retirement fund or employee benefits fund administration experience, in a similar roleMust have excellent level MSExcel skills with VLookups, Pivots etcGood pension fund legislation knowledge particularly Section 13A and unitisationHighly numericalExcellent time management and planning skillsHigh attention to detailGood team player with a proactive attitudeGood communication skills both written and verbalPlease note that if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application, please consider it as unsuccessful for this particular role.
