Retail Store Manager – Empangeni Our client in the Manufacturing Industry is seeking a skilled individual for a Retail Store Manager role. Requirements: Retail experience required.Diploma in Business Administration / Sales / Marketing (NQF 6).5 years' experience in Retail Sales or Marketing of which: Up to 3 years should be at Supervisory level.Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite; other relevant discipline-specific software programs).Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to: Retail Store Management: Develops and implements strategic plans to achieve operational goals and manage daily store operations.Builds relationships with customers to meet current and future needs, ensuring merchandise availability through contract approvals and inventory management.Sets pricing policies, authorizes sales promotions, and analyses trends, advertising, and financials to maximize profitability.Secures merchandise with security measures and ensures a safe, clean store environment for employees and customers.Maintains store stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.Oversees store operations by scheduling staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring completion of work.Compliance: Operates within controls to ensure the integrity of XCE, identifying and monitoring departmental risks.Maintains a risk register and reports discrepancies to management.Ensures compliance with regulations to prevent wasteful expenditure.Provides and enforces a safe working environment by adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures and legal standards.Customer Service Management: Maintains effective working relationships with customers by all platforms by rendering highest quality of services.Solving problems by implementing company core values.Represent and report to management on internal stakeholder related matters.Staff Supervision: Ensures employees sign performance agreements and conducts quarterly appraisals.Collaborates with HR to set performance goals, identify development areas, and create action plans.Oversees ongoing employee training and addresses employee relations matters promptly.Cost and Financial Control: Contributes to budget preparation and ensures efficient use of resources.Monitors spending within budget limits, reporting deviations to management.Identifies opportunities to control and reduce costs.If you do not hear from us within two weeks of applying, you may assume that your application was unsuccessful.
