Retail Food Store ManagerArea: RoodepoortWork hours: Retail hoursPackage: Basic Salary R45000 (negotiable), plus medical aid, provident fund, 13th cheque, performance bonusesResponsibilities:Overall management of the store and staff including complianceOverseeing of service departments such as butchery, bakery, and HMR (previous experience is a must)Investigate and correct slow-moving stockWaste, markdown, and shrinkage analysisManage store budgetsManage store promotionsAchieve gross profit margins and targetsReduction of wastageManaging stock orders and stockEnsure a great customer experienceExperience, Qualifications, and Skills:Minimum 5 years management experience of food retailExperience of budgetsExperience of stock management & controlAll Department ordering. End of day checksEnsuring F&V, Bakery, HMR and menu is up to standard, being followed, and ensuring qualityButchery up to standard and that the range is in orderEnsure health and safety procedures are correctCustomer liaison and requests on specific itemsTraining for new and old employeesFloor walks in storeChecking for expired stock on grocery floor as well as in departmentsArranging and attending staff meetings as neededStock loss preventionAnalysing sales reports and product rangeOpening & closing of businessManaging and working out the shift roster for all employeesManaging budget and ensuring business is not overspendingMaintaining statistical and financial recordsOverseeing pricing and stock controlThis position requires thinking on your feet, creative ideas to draw customers into the shop, and increasing sales.Skillset Required:Loss PreventionButcherStock ManagementCompliance
