Job DescriptionManagement of Stock accounting (including local, import, manufacturing) and control for Group stock, including turnover reconciliations.Key Responsibilities:Management of accounting activities, including all balance sheet reconciliations and monitoring of accounting entries, for local stock, Import Stock (both SA and RoA), Manufacturing and Design Stock and General Stock Accounting and Control.Review stock-related accounting schedules / build ups for statutory reporting.Conducting stock-related auditing reasonability testing and preparing adjusting journal calculations.Engagement with internal and external auditors on stock-related accounting and controls.Conducts reviews of stock budgets, projections, and three-year plan submissions from business.Management and coordination of the Retail Accounting.Responsibility for stock provisioning, including monitoring of stock ageing and provisioning, as well as ensuring that the provision level overall is reasonable.Supporting the management accounting process and reviewing operational reports for Divisions.Involvement and monitoring as a key stakeholder in any process and systems projects affecting stock.Qualifications and Experience:CA (SA) (Mandatory)3 - 5 Years Post ArticlesRetail, Manufacturing Stock ExperienceSkills:Reconciliation and AnalysisStrong business communication skills with an ability to work well in a collaborative environment with senior executives.Ability to draft commentary, analyse information to establish key messages, present information both visually and in writing.AuditingAccounting and ReportingFinancial Risk ManagementBehaviours:Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, decision making, interpersonal relations, problem solving, teamwork & written communication.Comfortable and effective influencer.You need to be flexible as the environment is very dynamic and priorities can change.Inspires, motivates and empowers individuals to go above and beyond for the benefit of the team and the organisation.Creates an environment that fosters and nurtures a culture of creativity which drives success.Sets ambitious goals and takes focused action to achieve desired outcomes to deliver measurable results.Adapts effectively to situations that are complex, uncertain, or lack guidelines and clear information.Interprets and simplifies complex and contradictory information when resolving organisational problems.Assesses and improves the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of various work processes.Develops plans and prioritises initiatives that align to the organisational goals and objectives.Effectively adjusts their behaviour, approach, and decision-making based on the situation.Thinks and plans strategically, focusing on the long-term goals and objectives of the organisation.Leverages new technology to enhance productivity, improve problem solving, and support business growth.Preference will be given, but not limited to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.About UsWho we are is because of our people.
