Duties and Responsibilities
Guests
Creating a well-curated and organised restaurant with atmosphere and warm hospitality, offering a memorable experience for guests of all ages!
Regular connection with guests to ensure they are receiving the highest level of hospitality, overall positive customer satisfaction and sharing the Restaurant's essence.
Promotion of the restaurant and the Academy by sharing marketing news, ideas and updates wherever the opportunity arises.
Uphold and encompass the brand essence and standards.
Managing guest feedback, handling complaints and diffusing tense situations between guests and/or staff members to prevent possible safety or legal issues.
General management and admin
General daily operations.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure quality, safety, hygiene and food safety standards, controls and protocols are followed and enforced, in accordance with health regulations and company guidelines.
Stock management - orders are placed timeously, stock is accounted and accurately managed and controlled and all assets managed and accounted for.
Manage inventory levels and orders to prevent shortages and minimize waste.
Events management – from quote to execution management of events hosted on site and off site.
Completing all administrative tasks in a timeously manner – including rostering, payroll, stocktakes, financial duties, etc.
Monitor and analyse sales and financial reports to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase profitability.
Actively look for marketing initiatives, opportunities and promotional activities to attract new guests, enhance brand awareness and increase revenues.
The team
Building strong relationships and creating a positive work environment and culture to ensure job satisfaction through teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff members.
Managing the team's daily, weekly and monthly duties, roles and responsibilities.
Managing the team's efficiencies with effective rostering, performance reviews and training to ensure warm hospitality to all our guests.
Management of poor work performance, negligence or misconduct, always aiming to resolve conflicts and tensions as soon as possible.
Qualifications
Education or Certification: Formal education from a culinary institute or cooking school can be beneficial.
Previous experience managing a restaurant is essential.
Certifications or degrees in culinary arts, hospitality, or a related field can enhance credibility.
Work experience
At least 2 years full-service restaurant management.
Previous events management experience is essential.
Attributes

Proficiency in inventory management and cost control techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
No previous criminal records.
