Lodge close to Hluhluwe is looking for a Lodge Manager.
Responsible for:
Front of House Hospitality Manager & F&B (FOH & Kitchen)
Guiding: Management of guiding department
Reservations / Reception: Bookings are done at Head Office therefore Lodge just to update the lodge sheet with current details & work the reservations from paper to arrival to departure
Finance, Admin, Stock Controls & Stocktaking
Housekeeping
Communicating with HODs on bookings information,
HR
General Duties
Curio Shop: orders, stock control, stocktaking, check variety of stock and track sales prices, offer special to get stock moving
Experienced in managing such a large and diverse and intense property
Focus of Guest experience delivery from each department
Systematic and strong with protocols
Use to a reporting system and presenting month end packs to Operations
An understanding of budget control and financial management and planning for the future of the lodge
HR and payroll functions of the lodge
Hands on staff management and staff disciplinary process
Delicately manage community staff and drive the development/upliftment process of those selected employees
Eye for detail and good all-rounder in all aspects of the hotel – food/ beverage/ housekeeping/ front office
Experience and ability to train staff
Reservations and front office administration & practices
Requirements:
Hospitality Diploma or tertiary qualificatio n in Hotel Management
Computer Literate – Pastel /Micros / Opera /SEMPER property management system
Previous work experience of at least 5 years in management roles in related lodge environments.
English speaking, fluent in written and spoken English
Zulu (Speak) – certainly a great benefit. Some understanding essential
Driver's License valid PDP essential
Basic maintenance & vehicle skills & knowledge
Valid First Aid Certification
South African Citizen
