Job Description:
A premier 5-star property in the scenic town of Franschhoek seeks an experienced Reservations Manager to lead the reservations team. The successful candidate will oversee the reservations process, enhance the guest experience, and drive revenue growth through strategic initiatives. They will ensure the team adheres to property policies, maintain high service standards, and implement effective sales and upselling strategies for all hotel facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the entire reservations process, ensuring smooth operations and a high level of guest satisfaction.
Coach and motivate the reservations/reception team to deliver outstanding guest service.
Promote the sales and upselling of all hotel services and facilities, meeting financial targets for the property.
Ensure strict adherence to established property policies, procedures, and standards.
Work closely with other departments to optimise guest experience and meet property goals.
Monitor and report on revenue management initiatives to maximise occupancy and profitability.
Requirements:
Citizenship: South African
Education: Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in reservations or hospitality, with proven experience managing a team or department.
Skills:
Strong understanding of revenue management principles.
Exceptional communication skills (written and spoken).
Guest-centric mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
High-level problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proficient in MS Office and property management systems (PMS).
Experience with Innkeeper PMS (advantageous).
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver's licence and own vehicle.
Preference for candidates residing close to Franschhoek.
