For this reason, we choose '&Beyonders' very carefully - they are the strength and the future of this company.Key OutputsOverseeing relevant teammates' desks while the consultant is on leave (sick or annual) or on educational leave; required to step in and handle the consultant's desk in full, managing requotes and ongoing proposals.Assisting with brochure quotes.Assist and develop agent educational bookings and hosted educational bookings, working closely with Sales to ensure these trips are seamless.Involved in the implementation of systems and procedures; assist with testing of systems.Stepping in to chase provisional bookings for all relevant team members.During quiet periods, following up on any dead leads.Assist in loading bookings for consultants during peak booking periods.Creative planning and designing of itineraries.Consistent and clear communication with agents, sales teams, preferred supplier partners, and colleagues.Emergency duty will be on a rotational basis as per the Retail Emergency BOP.Working hours will include early and late shifts on a weekly rotational basis.Maintain a calm and professional manner when servicing agents and guests.Exhibit an independent, curious, and "can do it" nature.Uphold the values of &Beyond: Care of the people, Care of land, and Care of the wildlife.Knowledge RequiredA passion for delivering service excellence.An in-depth knowledge of Tourplan and all Microsoft systems is advantageous.A good knowledge of South Africa, Southern, and East Africa is preferable.A willingness and aptitude to always assist and learn.Skills RequiredGood understanding of terms and conditions, product knowledge, third-party and &Beyond product destinations.Understanding of travel industry channels.Understanding and knowledge of the different markets in which &Beyond operates.Relevant understanding of business to create and formulate strategies and make commercial decisions.Knowledge of sales processes and methodologies.Problem-solving skills.Teamwork!Excellent computer skills including:Tourplan advantageous.MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.WETU.Personal CharacteristicsGood interpersonal skills.Sense of urgency.Passionate about guest delight.Diligence and self-motivation to meet deadlines and keep on top of your job.Willingness/ability to share information and teach and inspire others.Driven by motivation and not targets.Must be administration driven.Previous Work Experience RequiredMinimum of 3 - 5 years previous inbound tour consulting experience required.We reserve the right to not make an appointment.
