This pivotal role reports directly to the VP & GM. The position is to be based in South Africa but with extensive travel to the EMEA regions. A valid Passport for immediate travel is essential.You will have a choice of working out of the South African offices depending on your current residential location)The purpose of this role is for you to engage with senior management at all the manufacturing factories in France, Italy, the Netherlands, the UK, and Israel to establish baselines for all products manufactured and establish team performance across 25 facilities.With a focus on new machinery installations and continuous improvement projects, the role demands a Bachelor's degree in Production, Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering, alongside extensive experience in manufacturing operations(Blow moulding) and proficiency in project management tools. Experience and high knowledge of PLC equipment.Responsible for promoting workplace safety, collaborating with Product and Process Managers to deploy comprehensive equipment standards, and supporting maintenance managers to ensure optimal plant asset conditions. You will spearhead the optimisation of operational efficiency and maintenance across EMEA plastic factoriesKey responsibilities include implementing world-class performance methodologies, overseeing CMMS utilisation, and leading technical teams to enhance equipment availability, safety, and reliability.Oversee new equipment implementation. Additionally, you will justify new investments, lead Kaizen improvement initiatives, support automation projects, implement 5S practices, and foster a competitive team of maintenance leaders.A proactive approach to safety, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration will be essential in driving operational excellence and fostering innovation within the organisation.
