Individuals who meet the minimum requirements are invited to apply.Minimum requirements:At least five (5) years insurance experience with management experienceExperience and qualifications relating to Management will be advantageousRelevant Short Term Insurance qualifications will be advantageousRE5 certificate compliant with FAIS regulations for registration as RepresentativeExcellent people and interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skillsFluent in Afrikaans and EnglishMotivated and goal drivenExperience in interacting with Brokers and ClientsThe ability to work under pressureExcellent reporting skills and the ability to identify and address risk areasDuties will include but are not limited to:Underwriting Profitability: Maintain a high standard of risk selection, underwriting principles and risk management throughout the lifespan of all policies and Brokers in your designated areaNew Business Growth: Use of a professional quote template, maintain a system of quotation record keeping as well as success ratio, application of Risk Profile system to determine quality of risks and apply experience in development and achievement of new business goalsRenewal Growth: Ensure that a practical renewal system is in place and that the renewal program for business under your control is done efficiently and in line with annual goalsEnsure that all aspects of the Administration as prescribed by Law, Regulations or Company S.O.P.'s are adhered to and enforced regarding all facets of business and Staff administrationInstitute and maintain a high standard of service regarding all facets of business, the meeting of deadlines as given and the adherence to company policy and service standardsImplement the company quality control policy and ensure that errors are limited to a minimumEnsure that good communication and transparent relationships with Head Office is in place and ongoingMaintain a good understanding of the Agricultural Insurance Market in area of responsibility to keep abreast of changing environmentResponsible for keeping within the set expense budget for the area of operationMaintain and develop IT systems knowledge including Grail operating system, Excel, Word and other Microsoft programs as requiredEnsure understanding of Area and Company Financial aspects when setting up and executing annual and monthly plans and budgetsMaintain and develop the business Broker network in the designated area according to the prescribed Broker management planResponsible to work independently and without constant supervision towards achieving set goalsTravel extensively and maintain operational abilities as part of the job descriptionMaintain a high level of knowledge, experience and practical aptitude in the following areas: Marketing, Underwriting, Claims, Premium Control and General Office AdministrationMaintain good relationships with brokers and staff and keep high levels of interpersonal and communication skillsProvide efficient service to Brokers in all aspects of our businessIMPORTANT:Applications close 7 January 2025Only applications submitted via the Ditto Jobs platform will be consideredOnly candidates who meet all our client's minimum requirements will be contacted
