We are currently seeking a compassionate and caring Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for elderly care to join a dynamic care team at a respected assisted living facility in South Cape Town.

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
Overtime and additional compensation available for public holidays and extra hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within the scope of the registered nurse role.
Plan, implement, evaluate, and monitor individualized care plans tailored to residents' needs, including medication management.
Participate in the creation and ongoing updates of individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team and residents' families during care conferences.
Administer and monitor oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and PRN medications following facility protocols.
Supervise Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Care Workers (CW), providing direction and delegating tasks to ensure the delivery of quality care.
Perform nursing interventions and procedures, regularly evaluating their effectiveness to ensure optimal patient care.
Process new resident admissions and handle discharges in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures.
Maintain a safe, clean, and infection-free environment for residents and staff by adhering to health and safety protocols, including infection control and emergency procedures.
Report to and collaborate with the Nursing Manager or Director of Nursing on all aspects of patient care and other related duties.
Qualifications:
Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse.
Degree or diploma from a recognized school of nursing.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Prior experience in geriatric or elderly care is highly preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience in South Africa is advantageous.

Pay: R84,00 - R109,00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
