Registered Nurse - Homebased Care Division

Requirements:
1. Registered Nurse with interest in community healthcare services.
2. Knowledge and practical experience of the clinical and administrative requirements and procedures that are expected within the remit of a Registered Nurse, including nursing procedures, e.g. Intravenous Infusions (siting and maintaining), wound care, catheterisation.
3. ICU/Trauma experience beneficial.
4. Midwifery qualification beneficial.
5. Excellent communication skills, strong leadership, dedication, loyalty and integrity.
6. Excellent organizational skills.
7. Fully computer literate.
8. Valid South African driver's license.
Key Tasks:
1. Co-ordinate and manage allocated home nursing services.
2. Assessment and continuous monitoring of patients.
3. Implementation of Home Based Care services
4. Placement and orientation of care workers.
5. Perform nursing procedures, e.g. Intravenous Infusion (siting and maintaining), catheterisation; wound care, etc. during office hours as well as days/weekends on-call (on rotation basis).
6. Quality assurance of all home nursing performed.
7. Compile relevant reports.
8. Capture clinical data on electronic system/s.
9. Represent the company in the community and at medical institutions where required.
10. Continuous in-service training of care workers in conjunction with Human Resources Department and Nursing Services Manager.
11. Presentation of workshops and conduction of interviews as and when required and agreed with Nursing Services Manager
12. On stand-by for any emergency calls/placements & procedures during office hours, after hours/weekends on-call on rotation basis.
Market Related Salary plus company car and cellphone.
