Our client a procurement and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to customers and their employees throughout the African continent are seeking a motivated Sales & Regional Manager to drive sales and expand their presence within the Inland GP area.
In this role you will be responsible for generating new business boosting regional growth by 10% annually and elevating the brand.
You will also manage and support both new and existing team members ensuring a highperforming sales team.
Key Responsibilities: MARKET RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS Conduct market research at each potential customer Use methods such as the internet social media (LinkedIn Facebook) industry magazines and books Identify decisionmakers for buying PPE Determine the potential business size for each customer Understand the structure of targeted customers Identify competitor suppliers for targeted customers IDENTIFYING CUSTOMER NEEDS Perform PPE assessment to identify customer needs Provide education on PPE to customers Recommend suitable PPE for each application onsite Provide samples for customer trials and feedback Offer training on various aspects of PPE to endusers CUSTOMER APPOINTMENTS/VISITATIONS Schedule meetings with potential and existing customers daily and weekly Aim for an average of 5 calls per day between Mondays and Thursdays ACHIEVING SALES TARGETS Ensure monthly and annual sales targets are met Submit weekly sales reports with visitation feedback and quotations Hold weekly sales meetings with the whole sales team Submit monthly reports with competitor analysis and sales performance updates TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT Provide training to new representatives/executives on company policies products and customer interactions Attend relevant training provided by suppliers for upskilling Ensure skills and knowledge of Sales Manager are regularly updated QUOTATIONS AND ORDER FULFILLMENT Follow up on initial orders placed Ensure stock is delivered and invoiced within promised timeframes Achieve OnTimeInFull (OTIF) per customer CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CRISIS MANAGEMENT Adhere to customer service standards Handle client relationships and crisis situations effectively REGION GROWTH AND BRAND EXPANSION Grow region by a minimum of 10% annually Introduce and grow the brand in new market territories Target industries like Agriculture/Food Manufacturing Hospitality Medical and retail stores PRODUCT EXPANSION Introduce the product range to potential customers Identify product usage opportunities and provide samples and pricing for meetings OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain customer database with communication records Ensure timely completion of reports by Sales Representatives/Executives Conduct firstround interviews for potential sales team candidates Keep staff files updated with relevant documentation Requirements QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Matric essential National Diploma/Degree in Marketing/Sales preferred Minimum 4 years in a similar sales position Proven successful sales track record HR Key Accounts and Admin Management experience Intermediate Microsoft skills valid drivers license and reliable vehicle SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES Organisational deadlineoriented and able to work under stress Ability to work independently and communicate with people at all levels Strong time management problemsolving and interpersonal skills Willingness to travel extensively and display leadership qualities.
