About the Role:
Versus Socks seeks an energetic and results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to lead and expand our sales efforts in Gauteng and neighbouring regions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in crafting and implementing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and driving growth in the region. This role requires a commitment to enhancing brand visibility and customer engagement through active participation in occasional weekend activations and trade shows. The position is hybrid, based in Gauteng, and includes the management of the brand new Versus Pretoria Concept Store that will soon be launched.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement a regional sales plan aligned with the company's overall sales objectives.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share within Gauteng and outlying areas.
Set sales targets, monitor performance, and adjust strategies to achieve sales goals.
Account Management:
Maintain and strengthen relationships with current retail partners.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and manage any escalations or issues effectively.
Conduct regular visits to key accounts to ensure brand consistency and address any needs or opportunities.
Attend to independent and key accounts' merchandising stands to ensure top-quality displays.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the local sales team, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Market Analysis & Reporting:
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences in the region.
Provide regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and business development opportunities.
Offer insights and recommendations to senior management to drive continuous improvement.
Report directly to National Sales Manager
Event Management & Weekend Work:
Coordinate and participate in occasional weekend brand activations.
Oversee event stand setup, operation, and takedown, ensuring top-notch brand representation.
Engage with customers and potential clients at events, promoting Versus Socks and driving sales.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Western Cape HQ team to develop promotional materials and campaigns tailored to the regional market.
