Regional Manager - North West / Free State

Our multinational client, specializing in agricultural fertilizers, is actively searching for a Regional Manager to oversee operations in the Northern Free State and Southern North West region.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and empowering a team of technical sales representatives to deliver exceptional service, nurture client relationships, and forge strong partnerships with distributors and farmers.
We are seeking a results-driven professional with a proven track record in team management and a proactive mindset.
ResponsibilitiesSales and marketing of the company's products and concepts to current and potential clients in the designated region.Expanding the client base and sales within the assigned territory through the company's concept.Achieving predetermined targets set by management.Managing existing client relationships to retain and secure ongoing business opportunities using the company's concept.Overseeing relationships with business associates, including clients, distribution agents, logistics contractors, and warehousing agents.Defining and accomplishing distribution and growth objectives and sales goals within the assigned geographic area through effective management.Introducing new products, enhancing distribution, and ensuring successful promotional outcomes.Keeping up to date with market conditions, strategically planning sales efforts, identifying new opportunities within each account, and maintaining necessary territory records.Conducting educational training for clients and associations through seminars and trade events.Establishing trust and confidence with farmers through product knowledge, persuasive presentations, and addressing objections.Preparing sales and administrative reports regarding activities and sharing them with the company's management.Assisting in stock management, including record-keeping, forecasting, and ordering necessary stocks for the company's operations within the specific area.QualificationsMatric qualification (High School Diploma equivalent)Diploma or Degree in Business Management or related fieldBSc in Agriculture or related field will be beneficialCompetenciesMinimum 3 years of experience in team management/supervision.Previous experience as a Technical Advisor or Agronomist is advantageous.Bilingual proficiency in Afrikaans and English (speaking, reading, and writing).Agricultural sales experience is beneficial.Strong oral, written, telephone, and presentation skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Programs.Demonstrated abilities in decision-making, planning, and motivation.Ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities for the benefit of the company.Familiarity with marketing techniques and concepts relevant to the agriculture sector.Remuneration: Industry-related basic salary dependent on experienceRegional profit shareCompany vehicle & fuelLaptop & Cellphone
