Hire Resolve is partnering with a leading industrial engineering agency in South Africa and together we are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Manager to join their team in Johannesburg and oversee operations in the region.
Responsibilities: As the Regional Manager for Industrial Business, your main duties will include: Managing Industrial Engines: Oversee the industrial engines business in sectors like Mining (Platinum, Gold, Coal), General Industrial (Fire and Industrial Pumps), Construction, Railways, and Marine.
Distributor Coordination: Maintain and manage relationships with distributors in South Africa and work with sales representatives.
Business Development: Research the industry to create effective sales strategies and promote our products to potential clients.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement Annual Operating Plans and long-term growth plans for Africa.
Channel Partner Development: Expand and manage channel partners in West & East Africa, and in South Africa's Western Cape and KZN regions.
OEM Equipment Expertise: Use your experience with OEM equipment (Loaders, LHDs, Pumps) to drive business growth.
Account Management: Build and maintain relationships with customers, distributors, and partners to generate repeat business and find new opportunities.
You need to understand the industrial sector well and have strong skills in managing and developing distributor networks and channel partners.
Key Skills: New Business Development New Product Development Financial Knowledge Business Communication and Negotiation Application Engineering Customer Relations Presentation Skills Willingness to Travel (over 70%) Requirements: Education: NQF 8 level in South Africa (Bachelor's in Engineering/Technology in Engineering; MBA is preferred).
Experience: 12 to 16 years in the industry, including: Background in Off-Highway Diesel Engines.
Experience with marine engines in South Africa.
Experience working in African regions such as Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, etc.
Previous experience with brands like Cummins, Iveco, Scania, Volvo, Perkins, or CAT Diesel engines is preferred.
