Regional Manager - Africa

Our client is looking for a Regional Manager for Industrial Business - Africa, who will be part of the team based in Linbro Park, Johannesburg, South Africa. They are mostly looking for someone who has experience with Off Highway Diesel engines business, experience in South Africa marine, and experience of working in the African region – Nigeria/Kenya/Tanzania, etc. Previous experience with Cummins/Iveco/Scania/Volvo/Perkins/CAT Diesel engines.ResponsibilitiesManaging Industrial Engines: Oversee the complete Industrial engines business across various sectors not limited to Mining (Platinum Group Metals, Gold, Coal, etc.), General Industrial (Fire Pumps, Industrial Pumps), Construction, Railways, and Marine.Distributor Coordination: Maintain relationships with existing distributors in South Africa and coordinate with the sales representatives.Business Development: Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions. Promote the company's products and services to prospective clients.Strategic Planning: Develop, implement, and execute Annual Operating Plans and long-term growth plans for Africa.Channel Partner Development: Expand and manage channel partners in West & East Africa and within South Africa, specifically in the Western Cape and KZN regions.OEM Equipment Expertise: Utilize your extensive experience with OEM equipment such as Loaders, LHDs, and Pumps to drive business growth.Account Management: Foster and develop relationships with customers, distributors, and partners to generate repeat business as well as finding new opportunities.SkillsBusiness Communication and NegotiationsCustomer RelationsPresentation skillsWillingness to travel (>70%)QualificationsNQF 8 level South Africa (Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Engineering, MBA preferred).
