Position: Receptionist | 6 month fixed term contract
Introduction:
A fixed term contract position exists for a Receptionist based at Imaging sites in East London, reporting to the Support Services Manager, Sharon Redgard. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective functioning of the reception department and become part of a professional team that continuously strives for the highest standards of quality in Life Healthcare. The incumbent will be responsible for capturing patient information, making bookings, checking medical aid validity, and taking payments.
Critical Outputs: Carrying out receptionist and administrative duties for the practice.Process scan requests.Receiving and handling of cash.Liaising with referring Doctors and hospital staff.Liaising with authorisations department.Adhering to the protocols and procedures of the department.Able to work under pressure.Honest and reliable.Any other duties that may be required from time to time.Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent.Experience within a healthcare environment, including people management and customer service experience.Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges, and role players would be an advantage.Computer proficiency.Ensure patient details are correct every time they undergo an x-ray.Answer calls and make bookings.Take payments and cash up daily.Check funds with medical aids.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite.Experience in dealing with patients.Knowledge of medical terminology will be advantageous.Teamwork is essential.Ability to work under pressure.Competencies: Problem-solving, analysis, and judgement.Resilience.Engaging diversity.Verbal & written communication and presentation.Influencing.Drive & energy.Excellence orientation.Ethical behaviour.Building relationships.Customer responsiveness.Organisational awareness.Knowledge of Medical Aids and authorisation process.Email: ******
