Receiving Clerk - Phoenix

Purpose: Ensure that the receiving department activities run smoothly and efficiently by facilitating the successful running of the department.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReceiving of stock; ensure bulk stock checks are conducted, receive deliveries from relevant suppliers with security present.Checks and ensures invoice information contains accurate information as in accordance to stock received; checks the quality of stock received, including damages, expirations, and shortages.Checks on stock rotation; orders packaging materials and checks on swell allowance and wastage.Ensure the team exercises hygiene control and maintains excellent housekeeping protocols in compliance with health departments.Ensures that the team exercises caution and that safety measures are in place when equipment is used such as pallet jacks, hysters, and lifts.
Ensure that relevant equipment is serviced, maintained, and clean.Ensures that there is an upkeep of excellent customer service at all times.Establishes good working relationships with suppliers and delivery persons.CompetenciesGrade 12 (Matric)Can work under pressure and meet deadlines.Great communication skills.Experience1 year experience in a warehouse/receiving department.Experience in a retail environment will be advantageous.Job Type: Full-time
