Senior Accounts Clerk: Cashbook and Treasury (Grade 09) Finance Division: Treasury The Finance Division invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team.
Main Objectives To provide effective & efficient accounting / administration and control measures in accordance with the University's policies and procedures. The accounting / administration and control measures relate to the identification, correct allocation, processing and reconciling of Bank / Cash Book transactions, cell phone and Foreign Exchange administration. Further, to ensure that a high standard of communication and service is maintained at all times.
The Requirements Grade 12, preferably with accounting, plus approximately 4 years' relevant experience where such experience includes:
Previous experience in a pressurised administrative / accounting environment. Working to tight deadlines and multiple demands. Previous experience in reconciling accounts (e.g. bank reconciliations & control account reconciliations). Previous experience in Online Banking would be an advantage. Sound computer literacy skills and having worked with computerised accounts (proficiency in Microsoft Excel compulsory). A relevant accounting qualification would be an advantage.
