POSITION: QUOTES ASSISTANT DEPTARTMENT: DATA CENTER AREA: NEW GERMANY, DURBAN
SUMMARY OF OUR COMPANY
AMJ Electrical Services (The Switchgear Company) was formed in 1996 to provide a service to heavy industry, light industry and commercial businesses. Our core business is the testing, maintenance, repairs and installations of low and medium voltage switchgear and associated equipment up to 132KV.
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Must have good communication attributes
2. Must have good organisational skills
3. Displays good initiative, energy and must be self-motivated and passionate about their work
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Must have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience as quote estimator, sales representative or a tender/procurement administrator within the Electrical/Switchgear sector. Electricians with quoting/costing experience may be considered. (COMPUSLORY)
2. Must display good computer skills on Word, Excel, Internet, Email (COMPUSLORY)
3. Previous experience in costing, planning, quoting (COMPULSORY)
4. Knowledge of Electrical Systems and/or Switchgear will be an added advantage
JOB DUTIES (NOT LIMITED TO):
1, Collating relevant information for the completion of tenders and jobs
2. Attending site meetings/briefings for tenders and jobs as and when required
3. Request pricing from suppliers and creating cost sheets for respective managers
4. Creating word document quotes and sending to customers
5. Completing and submitting required documentation for Vendor Applications and Current Tenders
6. Searching and securing of tender documents through Online Portals
7. Conduct basic planning for resources (Personnel and Equipment) to ensure optimum use
8. Assist with job execution on major jobs when scheduled
