QuickBooks Bookkeeper with Real Estate ExperienceRemote position - 3pm to 11pmPosition Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QuickBooks Bookkeeper with a strong background in real estate accounting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy of all real estate transactions. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with the unique accounting needs of the real estate industry, including property management, leasing, and sales transactions.Key Responsibilities:Maintain Financial Records: Accurately record and manage all real estate transactions, including property purchases, sales, leases, and operating expenses.QuickBooks Management: Set up and maintain QuickBooks accounts, process transactions, and reconcile bank statements.Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage invoices, ensure timely payments, and track receivables from tenants or buyers.Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports tailored to real estate operations.Tax Preparation Support: Assist in preparing financial documentation for tax filings, ensuring compliance with real estate tax laws.Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the development of property budgets and financial projections for current and future investments.Audit Support: Provide detailed records and reports to support internal or external audits.Tenant and Vendor Management: Track rent payments, security deposits, and vendor invoices, ensuring alignment with contracts and agreements.Compliance: Ensure all financial practices adhere to local, state, and federal regulations related to real estate.Qualifications:Proven experience as a bookkeeper in the real estate industry (e.g., property management, real estate development, or sales).Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop versions.Strong knowledge of real estate accounting principles and practices.Familiarity with tenant billing, lease agreements, and property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, or Buildium) is a plus.Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
