Hire Resolve's client is a leading Property Development firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Quantity Surveyor in George, WC.ResponsibilitiesPreparing details to complete tender documentsPreparing and pricing bills of quantities for contracts based on drawings and specificationsPreparing Bills of Quantities and other tender documentation to acquire fair and equitable tenders for projectsPreparing feasibility studies and budgets for proposed projectsNegotiating building contractsCompleting tender documentsArranging the necessary guarantees on projects as requiredAssist and/or prepare construction programmePrepare project cash flow forecastLiaising with and maintain good relations with clients, site managers and subcontractorsDrafting contract documentsPreparing sub-contractor payment advice and reconciliations for interim paymentsPrepare sub-contractor final accounts with reference to final valuationsPreparation of monthly interim valuations/claims for submission to clients taking all variations and additional work into accountMonitoring costs to ensure contract is performing according to budgetsEnsure that supplier costs are in line with budgetary allowancesMonitoring costs and reporting to clients during the design and construction of projectsAssisting the site manager to control the cost of the projectMaking application to the architect or client for confirmation of verbal instructions issued on siteDocumenting changes in design and updating budgetsIdentify discrepancies between budgets and actual costs and escalate to Managing Director immediatelyAdvising on contractual matters impacting on project performanceDetermining final costs of projectsPreparing final cost report on overall performance of completed projectsEnsure that all tasks and duties are executed and completed in strict accordance with the ISO standards as implemented by the companyRequirementsBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related fieldProfessional registration with relevant industry bodies (e.g. SACQSP)Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity SurveyorProven experience in managing costs and estimating quantitiesProficiency in cost estimating software and toolsStrong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and strong analytical skillsBenefitsSalary negotiableHealth plan: Vision, Dental, Medical, Life and Disability insuranceRetirement: 401k planPaid Time Off (PTO): Paid sick leave, paid holidays, paternity and maternity leaveHealth Savings Account (HSA)Professional training and developmentContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.Salary: negotiable.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.Apply for this role today, contact Alyssa Marson at Hire Resolve or on LinkedIn.You can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV: ****** will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
