Hire Resolve, a renowned recruitment agency, is currently seeking a talented and motivated Quantity Surveyor for a property development company. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects and contribute to the success of the construction industry.In this role, you will be responsible for managing costs, preparing estimates and budgets, analysing contracts, and providing accurate quantity calculations. You will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.ResponsibilitiesPrepare details to complete tender documentsPrepare and price bills of quantities for contracts based on drawings and specificationsPrepare Bills of Quantities and other tender documentation for fair and equitable tendersPrepare feasibility studies and budgets for proposed projectsNegotiate building contractsComplete tender documentsArrange necessary guarantees on projects as requiredAssist and/or prepare construction programsPrepare project cash flow forecastsLiaise with and maintain good relations with clients, site managers, and subcontractorsDraft contract documentsPrepare subcontractor payment advice and reconciliations for interim paymentsPrepare subcontractor final accounts with reference to final valuationsPrepare monthly interim valuations/claims for submission to clients, accounting for all variations and additional workMonitor costs to ensure contracts perform according to budgetsEnsure supplier costs align with budgetary allowancesMonitor costs and report to clients during the design and construction phases of projectsAssist the site manager in controlling project costsApply to the architect or client for confirmation of verbal instructions issued on siteDocument design changes and update budgetsIdentify and escalate discrepancies between budgets and actual costs to the Managing Director immediatelyAdvise on contractual matters impacting project performanceDetermine final costs of projectsPrepare final cost reports on overall performance of completed projectsEnsure all tasks and duties are executed and completed in strict accordance with company ISO standardsRequirementsMinimum of 3 years' experience as a Quantity SurveyorBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related fieldProficiency in estimation software and toolsStrong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and technologiesExcellent analytical and mathematical skillsAbility to read and interpret construction plans and specificationsBenefitsSalary negotiableOur client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experienceContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.Apply for this role today, contact Lisa Meyer at Hire Resolve or on LinkedInYou can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV: ****** will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
